"Tears for Mr. Kadiddlehopper" grew out of loss. My Father-In-Law, Ray who passed away last year at 89, penned the name Kadiddlehopper for himself years ago and I think to entertain the grandkids, based on the Red Skelton comedy character of the same name. This 24×24x1.5 gallery wrapped canvas piece carries color built up over my time grieving until it felt complete. There’s something deeply healing about creating art with love and a help from a loved one.
